History
In 2013, daFOO was invited to the studio by Pete Leuenberger to record his solo album "Everydayeyes." It was released in March 2015 and reached number 85 on the Swiss charts. The music video for "Overpaid," addressing the refugee crisis in the Mediterranean, gained considerable popularity within the African American music scene. In the following years, the singles "You Lift Me Up" reached number 72 and "40 Days" reached number 59 on the Swiss charts. Additionally, "40 Days" peaked at number 3 on Spotify Viral.
In 2018, daFOO was discovered by British journalist Tony Cummings, who dubbed him the "Hitmaker from Switzerland." The singles "You Lift Me Up," "Cryptical," and "One in A Million" were played on the radio in the UK and the Arab world. A year later, daFOO released the song "Shalom & Salem," produced by Pele Loriano. The peace song featured contributions from Benjah, a reggae rapper from the USA, and the dance crew "The Art of Generations" from Switzerland. The video was directed by Phil Arber.
After achieving further chart success, including a spot in the Spotify Viral Top 15, daFOO began investing in youth projects such as Protest4665 and the song "Worship In Our Hearts."
